Congratulations to Betha for such a great time in her first triathalon. I am not quite sure, but I think Bob and I could post times similar to that. (We might have to tag team because I don't think Bob can swim). Maybe we can let superDub put us on a training schedule (but would Bob have to cut out the Banana Pudding at Snooky's?).
Dad is doing fine. We were in Orlando last week and on Friday night at the hotel he said he didn't feel good and was having some chest pain and pains down his arm. So naturally I freaked out (I am just kidding - I was very calm). I called EMS and they transported him to the hospital and his heart rate was extremely erratic. He would go from 200 bpm to 80 bpm and then back up to over 200 bpm. He has had this problem before and is on medication for an irregular heartbeat, so this didn't concern him as much as the chest pain and pain in the arms that is normally associated with a heart attack. Once we got to the hospital and they did an EKG and bloodwork and told him that he wasn't having a heart attack, he was much better and much more relaxed. They gave him medicine to help bring his heart rate down. We spent the night in the hospital on Friday and I took him home to St. Augustine on Saturday afternoon. He has seen his doctor and they are trying to decide what course of action in dealing with the irregular heartbeat. They have mentioned that he might possibly need to have a pacemaker to help regulate his heartbeat, but I think that is still up in the air. He is feeling much better and I will keep you posted. His birthday is next Friday and he will be 70.
Leslie, I have gotten your messages while I was out of town, but you never left me a number to call you back and your number showed up as a private number on my phone. But you have nothing to worry about and I love you very much!!!
Lisa just left to go to New York with her mother and Kim for the weekend. It was their Christmas present. So I will have the girls this weekend and Kaitlyn has been throwing up the past couple of days. Hopefully she will feel better today. We have a couple of birthday parties that we are supposed to go to tomorrow and Saturday, so that will keep us busy.
We are trying to find some time to get to Statesboro and see everyone, but it seems like all of our time is booked. I remember a time when things didn't seem to be so hectic.
Whitney, I showed the snow pictures to Addisyn and she loved them. She wanted to know if we could go see you and the snow. I think she wanted to see you more than the snow.
That's all for now. I love you all and we will hopefully see you soon.
By the way, have any plans been made for Easter? (No chicks or anything that crawls this year!!)
Jay
