The Water in the River was cold!!!!!

Okay, before Dub and Bob tell their version of the story, I wanted to make sure that you all had the real truth. I did tump over, but not all of the way. I only got wet on one side of my body (but it was still extremely cold). Rather than try to help me, my cousins thought they would use that time as a "photo opportunity". So I am sure that those photos will make it on to the blog.

I was also reminded of the time that Dub and I decided to practice for the annual Canoochie River Race in Claxton. Daddy Buddy had warned us not to go because the river was extremely high, but we didn't listen. Needless to say, we tumped over several times (we were in one of his fishing boats which wasn't the best for navigating the river). The last time we tumped over, we lost the boat and everything and had to swim. Dub made it to the bank, but I found a tree in the middle of the river and I held on to it with a bear grip. Dub tried to coerce me to let go and swim to him, but I was NOT going to let go of that tree, and I told him he was going to have to come and get me. We finally did make it out of the river that day and had to walk a long way until we found someone in a truck that gave us a ride. Well, something similiar to that happened on this past river trip, and I will let Dub explain it to ya'll when we get together.

Also, Bob needs to invest in a breathing machine while he sleeps. His tent was about 75 yards away from mine, yet he still kept me up with his snoring.

Thanks to Brian for bringing wood and also for killing 2 snakes (one was huge) that was right next to my tent.

Glenn and Marty also showed up to partake in eating fish and did a fine job at that.

All in all, it was a good trip and I always enjoy spending time with my family.

I am looking forward to Dub and Beth's for New Year's Day. Kaitlyn, Lauren and Addisyn have been practicing on the Wii.

Peace out for now!!

Jay
