The Water in the River was cold!!!!!
Okay, before Dub and Bob tell their version of the story, I wanted to make sure that you all had the real truth. I did tump over, but not all of the way. I only got wet on one side of my body (but it was still extremely cold). Rather than try to help me, my cousins thought they would use that time as a "photo opportunity". So I am sure that those photos will make it on to the blog.
I was also reminded of the time that Dub and I decided to practice for the annual Canoochie River Race in Claxton. Daddy Buddy had warned us not to go because the river was extremely high, but we didn't listen. Needless to say, we tumped over several times (we were in one of his fishing boats which wasn't the best for navigating the river). The last time we tumped over, we lost the boat and everything and had to swim. Dub made it to the bank, but I found a tree in the middle of the river and I held on to it with a bear grip. Dub tried to coerce me to let go and swim to him, but I was NOT going to let go of that tree, and I told him he was going to have to come and get me. We finally did make it out of the river that day and had to walk a long way until we found someone in a truck that gave us a ride. Well, something similiar to that happened on this past river trip, and I will let Dub explain it to ya'll when we get together.
Also, Bob needs to invest in a breathing machine while he sleeps. His tent was about 75 yards away from mine, yet he still kept me up with his snoring.
Thanks to Brian for bringing wood and also for killing 2 snakes (one was huge) that was right next to my tent.
Glenn and Marty also showed up to partake in eating fish and did a fine job at that.
All in all, it was a good trip and I always enjoy spending time with my family.
I am looking forward to Dub and Beth's for New Year's Day. Kaitlyn, Lauren and Addisyn have been practicing on the Wii.
Peace out for now!!

New Years Day at the Sands!
Happy Belated Birthday to Barbara and today Glenn!!!
Just a reminder that we will have lots of FOOD, FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FUN! at our house on New Years Day. We can have a late lunch so no one feels rushed and play some bball, skate, cards and the wii after. I will have pork, slaw, veggie chili, rice and desserts. Leslie offered to bring greens and mac and cheese, Aunt Di will prepare a delicious helping of black eyed peas, Emily Dub is hoping that you will bring some raw veggies and dip. His only request is that you prepare about triple the amount you think you need to. HEHEHE! Jay, Lisa and the girls are coming, Barbara and Glenn - I can't remember if Barb said they would be doing something out of town for birthdays, Mimi I know will be here with bells on - let me know if you need a ride to the boro. And as far as the Lee family goes - I'm not sure. No offense to the family, but if I knew I could spend new years at my beach house to rest, relax and reflect...... then I would be there in a heart beat. Any and all children that will be in town, but their parents are not, please call me and we will make sure you can get here.
Anyone feel free to add any other food or drink items to the menu. I just tried to have the basics covered. Let me know if you can or can not come.
Everyone have a great day!
Love always

Online Family Album
Hey everyone!
I had such a great Christmas with everyone as well! Me and John were both just saying last night how blessed and lucky we are.
I wish I could talk more, but I only have enough time to ask if anyone already uses Picasa or Flickr?
Me and Grandmama were talking about opening up an online family album that we could all look at and download pictures from, and both Picasa and Flickr are free ways to do that, and they are also a way to interact. And since it is online, you have lots of space for your pics and you don't have to keep deleting them! And you won't lose them if something happens to your computer. They don't take up too much space on your computer either, they are just a way to organize pictures.
Anyone interested?
Happy Birthday Barbara!

What a great CHRISTMAS!!
Hustle and bustle may feel like the theme during this time for some, but I can't imagine ending each year any other way. I love that we all bring something different to the family. The youngest bring energy and spirit that seems to fade with the years. Teenagers remind us how quickly time flies and no matter how much older they get we seem to remain the same (hehe). And the wisest of all.... they, with out saying a word, remind us how important family is and that being together is a true joy and should always be treasured.
Are we perfect? No! My opinion is thank goodness we aren't. Just think how boring it would be if we thought we were!
Thanks to all who read for another great and fun filled Christmas and we hope to see all of you on the boulevard for New Years Day food!
love and peace

After posting the beautiful picture of Emily showing her outstanding sense of hair style - I thought it only fair to post a picture of Bob. Here he is showing the latest style in the "round" glasses. Emily told me that she wants a new pair of glasses for Christmas. Maybe Bob can look back and pull something out to surprise her! He also is reminising about his football glory days! Also, look at that head of hair!!!! I know that all the men on here are very envious of those luscious locks!!! Bob - you still have it after 49 years!! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!Monday, December 22, 2008
Thanks To the Stewarts!
Barbara and Glen-
We had a great time in Claxton seeing Santa and riding on the trailer singing Christmas Carols. This has become a big part of our holiday tradition and we enjoy it very much.
Remember- New Years Day we are having grilled pork loin, black-eyed peas and greens. Everyone is invited.
I'm also looking forward to going to the river on Friday. John- I have the keys, if you need them please let me know.
Merry Christmas,
Dub
Style Diva
It's me the style Diva. I just wanted everyone to know that I was very proud of that look! I of copied it from one of Lisa's early suburban mommy hairstyles( of course I had to adapt it to my college/KD lifestyle). I will just have to find a picture of that. She not only taught me to drive but inspired my hairstyles and fashion as well. Thank you Lisa!! I am excited about tonight. I hear the weather is going to be a bit chilly! Aunt Di I am planning on doing something greenbeanish for Christmas day is that OK? Beth we are glad ya'll are back safely, tell Mikay we want to see her at our cookie swap Tues at 4:00. I'll bring her home afterwards. She needs to make 2 dozen cookies. See everybody soon!

CLASSIC!
Lisa that is hilarious! I'm sure Emily was excited to see her picture so proudly displayed once again for the family to enjoy. However, I am a little concerned since she hasn't posted since you did with the pic.
We are back in the boro and glad to be. Like Aunt Di says "we are back in our place now". It is nice to get away to visit, but it sure is nice to be home too. I am working on the last batch of stars and angels now. I have the family orders put aside - but if anyone wants more or some I don't know about then please let me know. They are going pretty quickly - Yippee!!
What time should we arrive in Claxton tomorrow? I can bring anything we might need. I have aerobics in the morning and then I can fix whatever. Just let me know. Maybe sweets. That is pretty much the standard for me at our family gatherings.
Well, see you all tomorrow night.
Love and Peace

I just talked with Lisa and we are going to have to do my house on Monday. We can't do Christmas with my dad until that Sunday because of Win's Ballgames and Glenn's ballgames. Sorry if this is a problem for anyone. I think the only one that it interfers with is Lisa and she said she might be able to work it out but if not hopefully John, Win and Whit will come. I am going to cook a big pot of Chilli and Hot Dogs. Bring whatever you want to.
HAPPY ANNIVERSAY BRIAN & LESLIE

Hello everyone!
Hey Whit. Glad to hear about the big gift Santa is planning on bringing you this year. We love our apple. Now if we could just get everyone else in the family to convert! The video sounds like a great idea. I have actually heard of the guys you talked about. I am going to look into getting a copy.
I'm not sure why emily thinks Bob is old enough to be a part of your interviews. Didn't you say 70's? Well, I know he isn't that age yet! However, I have a pool full of prospects for you every Monday, Wed. and Fri. morning from 8:30 - 9:30. Believe me they know a lot about a lot. If you think they might can help I am sure they would be more than happy.
Anna Kate we loved having you over the weekend. I am glad Uncle Dub only had to beat you 3 times instead of the regular 5. You must be growing up. HEHEHE!
Just so EVERYONE is in the loop - Aunt Di went for a little gall bladder (spelling?) check up today and she was a real trooper. No arguing with the nurses or throwing tantrums and no tears. Way to go Aunt Di!! I am sure everything will check out fine and she will keep us all up to date. If not I will try.
I am excited about getting together for Christmas - and by the way aren't we getting together on Sunday instead of Monday? That would be the 21st instead of the 22 Emily. Barbara let everyone know for sure please.
Love to all and jingle jangle!

Great X-Mas Present
Hey Again!
Sorry, there was one other thing I wanted to mention to everyone!
Anyone heard of "Darius Goes West"? It is this incredible story of a 15 year old kid from Athens who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. His 19 year old brother, Mario, died of the same disease. They both went to this camp in Athens for disabled kids, and that is where they met the Smalley family. Logan Smalley was a mentor for Mario, and before he died, Mario asked Logan to look out for Darius.
In 2005, Logan, Darius, Logan's brother (Ben) & 9 other guys set out with a goal: get Darius's wheel chair "pimped out" on the MTV show, "Pimp My Ride." They piled into an RV, went to the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Grand Canyon, went camping, and finally made it to California. And they documented the whole thing. They transformed it into a documentary and since then it has won 28 international & national festival awards - HUGE for a couple of teens & twenty-somethings from Athens with NO experience at all. They've been on the Today Show, Ellen, NBC, in Variety, LA Times, & so much more. They are BIG.
He is HUGELY popular in Athens & @ UGA, I watched the movie last week and cried and laughed & cried some more. It is SO good. It's hilarious but will make you change the way you think at the same time. (And also is PG so everyone can see it!)
Now, Darius is 19 (same age as Mario when he died) so they have a new goal: sell 1 million DVDs in 1 year.
This movie is so good, and $17 of the $20 it costs goes to muscular dystrophy research. It is really popular among teachers (they almost always end up showing it in their classes).
Just wanted to let yall know, this could be a great present for anyone!

Hey!
Hey everyone!
I need y'alls help with my next Statesboro magazine assignment. Okay, so for the next year or so, I am going to be in charge of this section: advice from the wise in the area (Statesboro, Portal, and I guess the surrounding areas). She said they need to be older (I am guessing at least 70) & I have to ask them for their advice on life (just a short little blurb, 3 words could even suffice). Each issue, I need about 16 people, and each issue has a theme, so I should go along with the theme.
The first one is a biz/economy theme so I need people who have been really involved in business in this area & who people respect, yada yada. The next is the women's issue. She suggested I look to the Snooky's breakfast crowd (for the biz, not women).
Any suggestions of people who might have some great answers about life?
Tell the girls I love the name Mason - so cute. Also, the prize for the 200th post is all of Honey's puppies. Just kidding - the vet said she was having a false pregnancy. Phew.
And thank you again to Santa Claus for the AMAZING new laptop that I think I will be getting for Christmas. I am really excited to be making the switch to Apple. I promise I won't let Santa down and I will use it to help me get a job. It is going to help so much more than you would ever think it could.
Talk to yall soon! Love, Whit

Ok, Here's a quick Uncle John report- Lisa visited Whitney in Athens this week... I think they said they found a Mac computer... I'm not sure what that is but it sounds expensive to me...... Aren't we in the recession of a lifetime according to all the news media?????? Well, maybe Santa has hidden some funds somewhere. The mighty BA gators are 4-0 with a win against Thomas Jefferson last nite. Win is leading the GISA in assists.... Jay and Dub- Do they give college scholarships based on assists??? Please advise. They have a big game at home tonite against a very strong team from Atlanta so if ya'll get bored and want to see some BBall come on out and support the Gators.! Jay and I had a big meeting with the Safeco/Liberty Mutual marketing manager this week in Statesboro.... The deal was, if I could get them to let him write some Coastal Insurance in Savannah he was supposed to buy my lunch... Well, I came through after some tough negotiating and promising mine and Lisa's next child the deal was done... So we went to Vandys for lunch and...... (you guessed it!) Jay didn't have any money and Vandy's don't take no Savannah plastic so GUESS WHO BOUGHT LUNCH!!!!! There's a moral there somewhere and I'll let yall figure it out! OK Little Bloggers Here is yalls joke or riddle for the day: WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY WANT TO SLEEP WITH DADDY DINOSAUR?????????????????????????????????????????Cause he was a Bronto-Snoreus!!!! Love to all- The most handsome uncle- John
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!!!!!!!
Alright, now what do I win??? I was the 200th blog to this blog site and I know that there is a special prize for that!!! Since Whitney developed and produced this blog, I am assuming that she will be the one that gives me my prize.
The Rowe's are doing fine, just busy as usual. Addisyn had her Christmas program this morning and I have to admit, she is going to be a "Star"!!! Kaitlyn and Lauren are ready for Christmas. We have the "Elf on the Shelf" (the girls named him Mason) and he is keeping an eye on them and reporting back to Santa every night, so they are trying to be on their best behavior.
Betha, I meant to ask you why Dub didn't run in the Bridge Run with you, then I found out that his groin is hurt. I can't help but think that with all of the extra-curricular activities that went on at your house while the kids were out of town probably did not do anything to help the situation, and it probably even made his groin worse. Or could it be that he was practicing for his part in the Nutcracker and hurt it worse, therefore they had to hire Norbert from Poland?
Since the camping trip on Thanksgiving was cancelled due to weather, we need to go ahead and plan a trip for sometime after Christmas to spend either one or two nights on the river. Again, all would be invited to participate. Glenn and Bob should have no excuses this time!!
Since John has taken a leave of absence from his blog jokes, Lauren has one for all of you:
Why did the Turkey cross the road? It was the Chicken's day off!!!!
We will see ya'll on the December 22nd in the fruitcake capital of the world.
Ho Ho Ho from the Rowe's

Hey Aunt Di!
Well Aunt Di. It seems as though you and I are the only ones interested in keeping up with the family. Thanks for the Lee family report - sports and otherwise. Dub is home today feeling not so great. I think he needs rest and he was able to get some today. I'm sure he will be better soon. Its a good day to lay around and watch it rain.
I am excited about Christmas. The usual plan sounds great to me. I am ready to get together again, but am far from ready as far as gift buying goes. But not to worry, I will buckle down and get all those beautiful children (who's names we drew) the gifts of their dreams!!
Everyone is school get serious and finish the semester strong! Yes Daniel that includes you!!
PEACE, LOVE AND JOY to all who read!

NO JACKPOT WINNER

We still have a chance - The Mega Millions Lottery has reached 207 million dollars for the drawing Friday night. Get your ticket!!!
Barbara brought Mimi over to stay a couple of nights since they are still having plumbing problems - so if you get a chance stop by and see her. She'll be here until Saturday afternoon if not longer. We'll go to the BA Basketball Game Friday night to watch those gators play. Go Gators!!!
Lisa has traveled to Athens and will come back to Louisville tomorrow night for the BA game on her way to Statesboro. Since she nor John have given the outcome of the BA game against Trinty last night, I will. BA beat Trinty!!!!! Rah, Rah, GO Gators. The BA girls also won!!
I'm assuming we will have our usual Christmas doings - Breakfast/Brunch and gift opening - my house - Lunch/Dinner (late afternoon) - my house. In between breakfast and dinner will be the usual naps, games, etc. I'll have the turkey and ham and I'm sure mother will do the dressing and sweet potato souffle. We can get together and you girls can decide what we need or what you want to bring. Christmas will be here soon!! Love, Mama/G'mama/Aunt "Di"

MEGA MILLIONS LOTTERY
You bloggers need to spend $1.00 for a Mega Millions Lottery ticket worth 170 million dollars. The drawing is tonight. Someone has to win and it could be one of us!
Whitney, I liked the you-tube clips that you sent. I believe that Dub will be impressed with the dancer - he may be reminded of Norbert in certain areas. Dub should know that he can hold his own with the best of them - just check out his profile.
I'll post more later - I'm on my way to get my Mega Millions Lottery ticket. Love to All, Mama/G'mama/Aunt "Di"

Girl! You better open a book and close that computer. I needed all the laughs from the utube videos you listed. But I just need to know one thing. Was that poor man suffering from not only mental illness, but also a rather large hernia between his legs? I was distracted from that for a moment when I saw all the hair on his back - but then quickly returned to the bigger problem.
Well, I know you will do good in school and get home safe. We can't wait to see you. I hope your interviews have gone well. Keep us posted on those too.
Thanks for the support Jay. The Kenyans were well in my line of sight. At least for the split second they ran down the bridge to the finish as I was beginning my first climb up the bridge. I was able to accomplish my goal...finish what I started and we all had a great time being there.
I hope everyone is on there best behavior. You know who is watching!!! And listening!!!
Barbara did you get and like your stars and angels? I hope they are exactly what you wished for.
I can't wait to see everyone!

hello!
hey yall!
Hope everyone is doing well - sounds like it! Glad that Win is tearing up the basketball court, Anna-Kate and Mikay are impressing all of Statesboro on the dance floor, and Beth is almost beating Africans in long races.
Honey update: her stomach is getting bigger, everyone here in Athens is in agreement on that. But then again, she is still a growing puppy, so we will see in time.
Well, finals are rapidly approaching, so that means me and my friends are procrastinating and wasting a lot of time looking at unproductive things, such as youtube, because we don't want to study.
Here are some of our top pics for your viewing pleasure. These are sure to get your adrenaline pumped and get you excited about life, and maybe teach you a thing or two.

Okay, hope everyone in the fam continues to be rockstars, and see y'all soon!

I was there in spirit Betha!!!
Betha- I was there in spirit. I knew that if I showed up that you would get nervous and I didn't want to distract you from running down the Kenyans. Congratulations on running it in under an hour!! It would have taken me about 24 hours, and I am not sure I could have even finished it then. Tell Mikay that the Rowe's are proud of her for her Ballet recital. We would have liked to have been there.
I am proud of you too Win Lee. I promise I will be at as many games as I can. And your Daddy is right, it is a 4 quarter game.
If anybody is coming to Savannah to go shopping, please stop by my office. I will let you take me to lunch!!
See ya

What a day at the ballet!
Well a big thanks goes out to Win, Lisa, Mimi, Aunt Leslie, Neal, Emily and AnnaKate for attending the recital. However, if you are not listed above no grudges will be held against you. No one was EXPECTED to attend, but those that did - especially Win - can tell you it was quite an enjoyable experience.
I can't speak for any dancer but Mikay and would love to say that I was very impressed. She was graceful and right on beat with all of her "sweet dance moves"! And just when you thought it was over - there was more...and more.....and then a little more. For her first recital she did a great job.
We hope everyone has a great week and see you all soon

Bridge Run 2008
Jay we must have missed you at the finish line. I'm sure you were there! No one supports my efforts like you do Jay! Missing me at the finish line would have been unacceptable in your eyes. Just post all the photos you took of me on the blog so I can see. Thanks Jay! You're the best!
Way to go big Win!! I hate we missed the friday game, but I know we will have many more opportunities to see you slam and jam like the white boy ball playa you are!!
Whitney, I am sure we will all pull together and give honey all the support she needs as an unwed mother. Let us know when you know for sure.
Barbara I will see what I can do on Monday. I can't make any promises, but will try. I would really like for the get together to be when we ALL can be there so if it is possible to change it lets do that. At least thats my opinion.
Well, I have things to paint. Everyone have a great, fun and exciting weekend!
Love to all who read!
betha
Beth, don't forget my 2 stars and 2 angels. Miriam really wants to see them she said she would probably like to order some. Don't know what you are doing Monday but if nothing (HA HA ) you could run over to Claxton and bring me mine and maybe some people at CES might want to order some also. I hate to ask them but if you were just bringing me mine they would see them. Just a thought! I will let people see mine and take orders if you want me too.
Hope you did well in the run this morning.
Glenn and I got up with plumbing problems. The whole house stinks, Glenn is working hard on getting it all fixed.
I think that Mallory and I are going to go shopping in Savannah tomorrow. I have not done any Christmas Shopping yet and really need to get started.
We are real excited about Christmas time and the fellowship with everyone more than the gift exchange (even though that is fun too) I am trying to find another date for the hay ride because Lisa Lee can't come on that Monday the 22nd but if we can't find another date I hope John, Whitney and Win will come on that Monday.

Bridge Run 10 K
Well, The Sands family made the trip to Savannah, after a pre-race meal at Mellow Mushroom we checked into the Hampton Inn Downtown (Mikay was quite impressed). Beth is sleeping and the kids and I are watching Basketball.
Be sure to watch ESPN tomorrow- Beth will probably be the lead story for crossing the finish line in record time.
Me, Daniel, Connor and Neal are going to the GSU basketball game (Sat. @ 7:30). If you come, look for us.
Have a great weekend!

Lisa & John = grandparents
Guess what??
Lisa and John are officially grandparents!!!
Haha, please no one have a heart attack, I am only talking about Honey. I am pretty convinced she is pregnant. Her stomach looks a little bigger today. I looked up gestation periods and hopefully I will be prepared, just in case she is actually pregnant. So, if you hear of any good homes, I might just need some names in about 12 more weeks. (hopefully not, though). I guess this would actually make them great-grandparents, but oh well.
Also - I could not find Win's picture on the Statesboro Herald online.
Hope everybody is doing great! See yall in a couple of weeks!

Family / Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was one of the best thanks to all of you. We are so blessed to have each other and I am so very "Thankful" for each of you.
Again, thanks to John and Lisa for their hospitality on Thanksgiving - we all enjoyed being together. Mother and I enjoyed having Thanksgiving dinner with John, Lisa, Whitney and Win. The food was so gooood!!!!!!! Then the bonfire that night - eating boiled shrimp and roasting oysters completed a day that will always be remember.
lisa and I were in the stores a little before 7:00a.m. on Friday shopping - actually lisa was shopping and I was watching the packages. Jay did a good job with the girls while we were out.
Barbara, I checked my social calendar and find that I happen to be free on December 22nd, so please count me in for the hayride.
Whitney, I went to the http://www.morgancountycitizen.com/ website and read your article on the Morgan County Christmas Parade. You do such a good job and we all are so proud of you.
Basketball season is here!! It is so exciting watching BA play, especially their #20. "GO WIN"!!
Beth, Good Luck in the run on Saturday. I read that Lisa thinks that you could light the way if it happens to be dark - I hate to disagree with her, BUT I don't think your headlights carry enough wattage. By the way, I'm very impressed with Dub's new profile. Who would have known he has such hidden "talents"?
Bob - maybe we could use your new red vehicle for the hayride. What do you think? It's really red like Santa's sleigh. Emily likes the idea, too.
John, where are the jokes for the kids? If you don't remember your password - get a new one. We miss your jokes. No excuses for not posting.
Justin, I talked to Dorsey at the BA game and he said his son is probably transferring to GSU next semester. I mentioned that you may be looking for a new roommate. It won't be long before the Christmas break and you can relax from all the studying. "Good Luck" to you and Whitney on semester finals.
Jay, let me know when ya'll are coming for Christmas at Lisa's. Win has a home game on the 20th - hope ya'll come then and go to the game.
Love to all of you, Mama/G'mama/Aunt "Di"
The Rowe's are in!!
Barbara - The Rowe's are in for the 22nd. We are looking forward to it.
Beth - Let me know the details about the bridge run. You are welcomed to stay with us on Friday night. I will cook you a fabulous supper and breakfast loaded with the carbs that you will need. I have another friend that is running in it and I want to be at the finish line to cheer ya'll on. Is Dub not running in it?
Bob- That sure is a pretty truck. I know that Emily is very proud.
See ya

Check out today's Statesboro Herald
Look for the imposing mug of Win Lee in today's paper (sports section). They have a picture of him showing off his ball handling skills!
Barbara - my family will be able to attend on the 22 but I will not. I have already committed to going to Atlanta that day for my Atlanta Friends Christmas Party. I would get out of it but we drew names and I hate not to show up since I was included in the drawing! John, Whitney & Win will be there with bells on if that is the date everyone agrees on.
Beth - have fun freezing your "ta-ta's" off on Saturday! If they start before daylight - there won't be any need for additional lighting. You can provide the "headlights!"
Angels and stars are selling at Doodle Bugs - I sold 3 yesterday!

CHECK OUT THIS FRESH RIDE!
Barbara I think Monday the 22 is okay with us. We will be in Atl. until Sunday night, but Monday should be good to go. If Dub thinks otherwise I will let you know. Thanks for the address I will get a card out to her tomorrow.
Way to go Win you basketball stud (as if he will ever read this himself)! I am sorry we will not be able to see the game Friday like we thought, we will be in Savannah getting ready for the Savannah River Bridge Run. Yes I am going to freeze my ta-tas off again and run over the bridge and back just like hundreds of other crazy people.
Emily and Leslie I have your angel and star order down. Anyone else let me know.
Have a super duper day!
betha
Beth, It was Felicia's dad that passed away. Her address is:
4465 Old Hwy 250
Claxton, Georgia 30417
She is doing good.
Thanks for asking about her. I'll let her know.
Bob, I also told Marie that you and Jay were upset that I did not tell ya'll she was in the hospital. She laughed. She also said that she thought about coming to Lisa's Thanksgiving night but I never mentioned it to her. Then she said she was also tried. She did mention that she would have loved to hear Jay RAP again!!!

Congratulations Win
In my earlier blog, I forgot to congratulate my nephew Win on such an outstanding performance against DEA last night. He even made the Savannah Morning News. I think that is great and keep it up. Hopefully I will get down to see him play very soon.
Lisa or John - could you give me Win's cell phone number so that I can text him.

Dub as Norbert?
Betha,
We would love to come to the ballet, but unfortunately we can't due to other committments. I heard through the grapevine that this could be Dub's debut as a Norbert wanna be. I am sure that as soon as the word gets out that there would be tons of women that would want a front row seat.
I too want to thank John & Lisa for their southern hospitality and allowing us to congretate at their house on that joyous ocassion. I will come and pick up the oyster cooker as soon as I can. Or if somebody else needs to use it anytime soon, they are welcomed to it.
I'm glad the Fordham family is well. Thankfully none of my clan caught it - at least not yet.
John Lee, let me know when you are headed to Fripp to fish and need another person in the boat to increase your fish count. I am only an hour away.
See ya,
Jacob Elisha Rowe Jr

Basketball Season has Started!!!
Hey everyone!
Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. Whitney took my computer back to Athens with her (since hers crashed and she HAS to have a computer for school!) so I haven't been able to play lately. I should be working right now on Emily's Christmas card but I thought I would take a little time and catch everyone up!
Me, Mama and John traveled to the metropolis of Stillmore, Georgia last night to see the opening night game of the Bulloch Academy Gators. Win got his first varsity start at point guard. We ended up beating a weak DEA team 81 - 35. Win played well and was the leading scorer for the night with 16! We have our home opener on Friday night against our arch rival Pinewood. I expect that they will offer up a much better game than DEA.
Whitney has an interview with Southern Distinctions Magazine next week for an internship for Spring semester. She already has an internship with Lake Oconee Living but I think the Southern Distinctions would be better exposure. She's a little confused about what to do so any advice would probably be welcomed!
Business has been steady up at the Doodle Bugs but I definitely have seen a decline. Hopefully, things will pick up and people will start shopping!
John is working hard and wishing he was fishing! Maybe one day he will be able to retire and fish everyday!

Me Too
Betha I would like one paul and one papa. Hope everyone is haveing a good week so far. My family is all well now. I hope no one else gets sick. I would also like to thank John and Lisa for the thanksgiving eve get together. We had fun. See ya'll soon. Lots of love. Leslie
HELLO Bloggerville!
Barbara I would love to put my Thanksgiving pictures on the blog, however I don't know how to do that. Whitney is way smarter than me.
I will be sure to save the stars and angels that you need. Barbara, remind me which friends father passed away. Felicia or Marie? Then will you please send me the mailing address for whoever it is. Thank you.
Now listen up all you ballet show enthusiasts!! I can not promise the grand "exhibition" of ballerina "form" as seen in the recent "Nutcracker" (Norbert), but I can promise that you will have a nice enjoyable day of the arts at NO COST TO YOU!!!!! From what I understand this is a simple mini show. I don't even know if anyone will be in costumes. Mikay has to arrive about 30 minutes before it starts and all I have to do is have her in tan tights, black leotard and hair in a bun. That I can handle thanks to the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Please do not travel from afar to attend. I will video tape and present it when we get together over Christmas for anyone interested in watching. We don't live by the annoying "well we watched so and so - we better go out of our way and watch so and so". Please don't do that! When I say no big deal to attend I mean no big deal to attend. And so does Mikay!
If you are interested in attending it will start at 4:30 p.m on this Sunday December 7th at the Emma Kelly Theatre.
Everyone have a great night and I hope to see you soon.
love
betha
