HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010

This Christmas was one of the best thanks to all of you. Do you think that other families enjoy being with one another as much as we do? I hope so!

Another year gone! In just a few hours we will begin a brand "NEW YEAR" and I wish for each of you -

"A new year filled with Love, Happiness, and Peace."

I Love You, Mama/G'mama/Aunt "Di"

Happy New Years Eve!!

I wish everyone a Happy and Safe New Years Eve!

Barbara and Glenn- I hope y'all had a wonderful Birthday at Fripp.

If you are making a new years resolution, remember this-

Galatians 5:16 - "... live by the spirit."

Stay focused on what you want, not what you want to avoid.

Christmas was awesome this year, thank you Aunt Di!

It is a blessing to be part of this family.

Ho Ho Ho - We are throwing up at the Rowe's!!!!!

Well, as usual, anytime my kids spend time with the Lee's and the Stewarts, they get sick. Although I don't think it was their fault this time - I am quite sure the throw-up bug originated in St. Augustine. But nonetheless, Kaitlyn threw up 17 times (yes, she counted) from 2am til about 3pm Sunday night and Monday, and Lauren started about 6am on Monday am (she didn't count, but I am sure it was between 6 - 10 times). Hopefully none of the Stewarts or Lee's had the same misfortune. But if it was going to happen, I am glad it happened now rather than on Thursday or Friday.

Hope everyone is doing well and that everyone has had a chance to buy my Christmas present. If you haven't and need any gift ideas, please call me.

Our house was torn down yesterday. It was a little emotional for Lisa and her mom because that is the house they grew up in, but I enjoyed watching the massive machinery crush the house like it was built out of cardboard. Our house was a solid concrete block house and the excavator made it look like it was built out of gingerbread ( I thought I would throw the gingerbread in there because of it being Christmas time!!)

There is a river trip being planned for the days right after Christmas for anyone wanting to participate.

Hope to see everyone soon.

We love you all

Mama Worm

Hey everybody,
It's Daniel telling about why mom is on the blog doing the ran-over by a car 'worm'. On Monday I walked into mom's room and started talking about how I can do the worm. This sparked mom to prove her dancing abilities and do the worm. Dad just happened to be in the room with his phone when this happened; and nobody would be able to resist showing off this video to the family.
See yall later,
Daniel

Oh yeah I have a joke for everyone! What do you call crows that stick together?

Velcrows!

Thanks for a Great Thanksgiving!

We had a Great Thanksgiving Holiday! We are blessed to have such an awesome family.

Beth would like to show her appreciation by doing the worm. Enjoy!

We are a day late, but better late than never. Happy 50th birthday. You look much younger than some other 50 yr olds I know (Uncle Bob).

We are looking forward to coming to your house for Thanksgiving.

I have a joke for you - "When does Christmas come before Thanksgiving?"

Can't wait to see yall!

Hi All!
Hope everyone is well! Sorry I haven't been on in a while, I started taking on a lot more responsibilities at work, which I'm happy about but I've been more busy. I enjoyed reading all the new posts and catching up though.
Happy (late) birthday to the Marines and to Uncle Bob! I saw Mary Mitchell and Jordan on your birthday and we talked about you. Maybe I can see yall sometime if you're up in Savannah to visit.
I'm so excited about Thanksgiving! I invited my roommate & her boyfriend to come along. They are from California and can't make it home for the holidays. Yancey will be around too (for supper). Speaking of, I took a quick head count and John and Yancey are the only Lee family representatives who will be eating oysters (but they are excited about them).
Daniel, I hope you had fun in Atlanta! Beth - Win and Taylor tried to go see Twilight tonight, but it was sold out so they bought tickets to Precious instead. They didn't like it and didn't even stay for the whole thing! Oh well, I guess not everyone can take that intensity (especially when you were expecting the exact opposite - Twilight). Yancey and I saw Twilight at the midnight showing, and it was a trip! I will have to tell yall all about it next weekend.
If anyone needs a sugar fix this week, come to the Lee house! John got all kinds of desserts: cupcakes, chocolate cake, pumpkin pie, caramel cake, cinnamon roll, and flan (random!). I think he's had a good pre-birthday so far, hopefully tomorrow will be nice too. (Happy Early Birthday, John!)
I can't wait to see all of yall on Thursday! Love, Whit

Saturday, November 21, 2009

Hey everybody,
Im heading out to the ATL at 8:30 bright and early in the morning. Im going with about 6 other people from my school. The trip Im going on is The Youth Assembly, this is where we go a debate bills and make new laws. It can sound pretty lame at first but once you get into it and meet new people it's pretty fun. I wrote a bill that makes PE mandatory every semester from ninth grade to twelfth grade. Hope it gets passed in real government too.

Lata,
Daniel Sands

Sandra Bullock on Entertainment Tonight!!

At least I thought it was, until the interviewer introduced Lisa Lee of Doodle Bugs! Wow, Lisa will have her own talk show soon.

I am looking forward to spending some time at the river. Everyone is welcome to come along. John- if you come, Jay has a cot tent that sleeps two people, I am sure he will share. Or you can sleep in Bob's tent. However, he snores very loud and sleeps with bottle of urine.
All kidding aside- there is plenty of room for anyone who would like to join us.

Beth is in Charlotte this weekend visiting a friend, Mikay will be in Atlanta. Daniel and I will be holding things down on the Boulevard this weekend. If anyone is going to the GSU game let me know.

Barbara- I hope you are feeling better. We are praying for a speedy recovery.

Don't let your meatloaf,
Dub

Lisa on WTOC tonight!!!

Ok - everybody needs to watch WTOC tonight for the debut interview of Lisa Lee and Doodle Bugs! I just got interviewed by Dal Canady for a segment for the 3/50 project which promotes shopping locally. I won't be able to watch because of a College Fair at BA so ya'll let me know how I did. I had no prior notice that he was coming so my hair is looking a little flat!!!

To the Lee's House We Go!

The Cook's are very excited about Thanksgiving. I have a new domino game to teach everyone. I am very glad that Bob does not get play with matches this year. 50 year olds should not be allowed to play with matches or heavy machinary. Bob I will be be at Lisa and John's around 4 I hope. Don't forget to get you Nutcracker tickets. They are shows Thursady night, Fiday night, Saturday night and a Sunday matinee. We are leaving Monday the 22nd and going to Charleston. From there we will go to Savannah and then to Lisa's. I can't waint to see everybody.

Correction

John asked me to post a correction to Dub's previous blog. Although things are definitely dismal around the Lee household these days - we have not had to stoop to selling the river property (yet). If anyone has any insurance needs, please call John. The boys are welcome to camp on the 18 acres that are still in our portfolio. (Taxes are not due on the property until the 20th of December).

United States Marine Corps Birthday!!

November 10, 1775, the United States Marine Corps was born. October 14, 1986, they lowered their standards and let a college dropout from Statesboro enter Paris Island.

Anyway- I am looking forward to Thanksgiving at the Lee Plantation.
Jay and Bob: I would love to go down the river, but we would have to camp on a sandbar, since John sold his river property. Y'all just let me know what you want to do.
I hope everyone has a great day!

GOBBLE! GOBBLE! GOBBLE!!!!

The Sands' can't wait for Thanksgiving. Dub thinks we need to take a head count on who will be EATING oysters. Since I don't eat them I didn't realize that we always have a bunch left over. Let me know who would like to have oysters and who can suggest something else. If no one replies then I will assume we don't need any oysters. And the rap music sounds awesome! Everybody has time to get there groove on!! Dub still has the playlist he created last year for Thanksgiving. We will be sure to bring it with us.

Our plans remain the same - can't say the same about the people - for Thanksgiving day. We will meet my family at Clarks Hill this year at my aunts house for lunch then return home - as soon after lunch as possible - for the big bash at the Lee's. We have a few new additions to the family tree this year. Alex, one I can't remember the name, another name I can't spell or say, and one that my cousin is I think the father of and have no clue what the name is. Could be more "surprises" that day - you never know at Thanksgiving.

Thanks to Whitney and Lisa for trying to introduce me to a little "culture" friday night at the Savannah Film Festival. That was really fun. Aunt Di will be very surprised that I watched the movie Precious. Very Heavy!!!!!

We love you all

peace out
betha

Thanksgiving 2009

I haven't really talked to anyone about Thanksgiving, but am assuming that we will do the same as always! We will have Thanksgiving Dinner at my house (traditional turkey & dressing dinner) at lunch time for whoever wants to come. We'd love to have as many as possible!!!
Jay - your family is welcome if ya'll don't have other plans! Thursday night - I was thinking of making a jambayala or gumbo and we can do oysters. Of course, we will have the fire outside. Unfortunately, Bob will have to move around to the pond dam to do his annual burning because I now have some kick-ass mexicans who are keeping the pond edge clean! I will start making a Thanksgiving night play list on my ipod (we might even include some Texas Swing music so John and Mimi can dance the night away!) If anyone has anyother ideas or suggestions - let me know!

Time for a Party????

Well, I think it was about this time last year that Whitney set this blog up, and we started making our Thanksgiving plans via bloggerville. So I am wondering if anybody out there has any prelimanary ideas as to what we are going to do for Thanksgiving.

Do I need to get my oyster cooker ready? Do we want to do a low-country boil? Do I need to get my best Run DMC rap tape out? Do I need to bring Mimi a bottle of wine??

We are not going to Charleston this year, so we should be getting to Statesboro a little earlier.

Is anybody planning on going down the river?

Somebody let me know what's going on!!!!!

Jay

WHITNEY... YOU'RE AWESOME!

First you have a hunky dunky movie star boyfriend and now your are bff's with Drew Carey! Pretty soon you are just gonna pack up and leave your looser family behind.

JK! I know you wouldn't do that Whit.

I am so glad to hear you are enjoying what you are doing. We hope to see you soon. I assume that you will be around at Thanksgiving. RIGHT?!

Drew Carey likes my company :)

Okay, I just have to say one more thing I just heard about. Drew Carey (from Whose Line is it Anyway, The Drew Carey Show, and now The Price Is Right) 's people just called because Drew heard about uPlaya on the radio and he wants to know more about it. Apparently he wants to use it for his radio show, for their segment about the "coolest song in the world". So exciting :), I wish he would come into the SAV office!

Hey Everyone! I Miss Yall!

Hey all! I have to agree, Daniel’s girlfriend is pretty! Thanks for posting pictures. I hope Addisyn had a wonderful birthday! I hope to get together with the Rowes’ again soon! I have been meaning to call but work has kept me very busy – I was in Atlanta all last week for investor conferences. Speaking of work, that’s about all the updates I can give on my life – it consumes most of my time. But it’s been SO exciting! We were on NPR’s Morning Edition the other week! Big time! (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=113673324) and I was in the Savannah Morning News today for the 2nd time for Music Intelligence Solutions (http://savannahnow.com/exchange/2009-10-23/innovative-night-broughton-st-0) We were up for an Innovation Award from the Creative Coast Alliance, and we won! The ceremony was last night right in the middle of Broughton Street – it was very pretty and fancy. I got Spotted®: http://spotted.savannahnow.com/photos/index.php?id=4959618 – that is me with a writer from The South magazine and the girl I work with, Juliet. I guess it isn’t what I expected to be doing, but it has been a really cool first job.

Also, cool update about Yancey: he was cast as an extra for the new Robert Redford movie they are filming here in Savannah! He was so excited, he got fitted for his costume right next to Justin Long (the guy from the Mac commercials!) He was in filming all last night – from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. – he was one of the townspeople that see Abe Lincoln’s coffin after his assassination and yell and get shoved around. He got shoved by Robert Redford and Kevin Kline, and he ate food next to James McElvoy (he was in Wanted and Atonement). He met lots of other extras that he remembered from other movies too. I posted his picture, it’s pretty funny I think.
Hope everyone is doing well and I hope I get to see all of yall soon! Love, Whit

Hey Fams!

Hey Mimi Bloggers! Daniel, your date is hot!!!! I hope you got a little kissy face as Uncle JE called it .I've had about 25 people mention to me how well Jay played in the Savannah city golf tourney and how proud of him they were....... Congrats Jay!!!... Some of us are having to work our way through this recession! The one thing that everybody who saw Jay on TV said was "Gosh he sure has gained alot of weight! I hardly recognized him". That's ok Jay, they say everybody looks bigger on TV! Thanks to those who came and supported Win at his baseball game last weekend. He is starting to adjust to playing at a higher level and starting to really hit the ball better... We are excited about BA basketball coming up soon. Win is promising a state championship! Ok, Little bloggers, here is ya'lls joke for the day..... Why did the blonde stare at the orange juice can for 2 hours???? Because the label on it said "Concentrate"" Ha, Ha. Love, Uncle John

WHAT'S HAPPENING???

Thanks for posting pictures of Daniel and his date. He is "HANDSOME"!!! I hope he had a good time at the game and dance.

Is Mikay excited about Disney World?

Congratulations to Jay for coming in 3rd in the Savannah City Amateur Tourn.!!!

Lisa said she had a good time in New Orleans last week. I hope she and her cohorts left it intact.

Not sure what's going on with everybody else - but I hope all is well. If all of you, (Lisa L., John, Lisa R., Jay, Barbara, Emily, Leslie, Dub, Beth), would start posting again it would be nice. (Beth does post)

Mother will be at my house for a few days so make sure to stop by and see her. She has a dental appointment Thursday (8th), so I'll pick her up Wednesday or Barbara will bring her over.
I hope "Honey Girl" has recovered from her surgery and is doing well.
Please keep me up to date with what's going on with all of you.

This saturday we will be kicking off the college football season with a cookout at the Sands house. UGA and OSU kick off at 3:30. We are also going to the GSU game. We will probably have a pork loin.

Come on over any time, we will probably start eating around 2:30 -3:00.

If you do not care about the football game there may be a deck of cards lying around (Aunt Di and Emily - fighting).

Hello All!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I haven't been on in a while - I have been slacking on my Blogging!

First, just want to tell Daniel congrats on starting high school and say Happy Birthday Mom! (again) Hope everyone is doing well!

Also, I need some help from the fam. As yall know I just started a new job :), which I really love, but I am scared because (long story short) my job depends on how much Internet traffic I can generate. I was hoping I could get a little help from yall in the form of clicking?

I'm on pretty much every social network you can join right now, and I need more people to vote up my articles and Web sites. Does anyone mind helping? If so, could you send me an email? I will send you a bunch of links that need more clicking. It doesn't take long, but for a couple of them I would have to make you a username.

If you're interested about where I work, here is the Web site: http://www.uPlaya.com. It's really cool! We had a Korean prime-time TV crew here yesterday, and an Australia TV station did a documentary on us before that. I also got to meet Stratton Leopold yesterday (a big movie producer, he did Mission Impossible 3 & a bunch of others). It's for musicians, so if you know of a band, mention something to them cause it's really interesting and might help them out. I also have a bunch of quotes pulled together from like Rolling Stones and the London Times that I could send them so they know it's legit.

Love yall and I hope I get to see all of yall really, really soon!

PS: Thanks again to the Rowe family for letting me stay in their beautiful house this week!! I felt like I was at Fripp looking out that big window over the marsh and it was so nice!

Happy Birthday Lisa!!

Daniel - SHS

Daniel, I am so happy that you are pleased with the new Statesboro High School. I know that the next four years will be a rewarding experience for you. Good Luck!! "GO BLUE DEVILS"
I appreciate the credit that is attributed to me for the new "SHS" in the blogs posted below. Daniel, if I had not been there to protect and preserve Statesboro High School during the time that your Dad, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Emily, Aunt Barbara, Uncle Glenn, Aunt Leslie, Uncle Brian and Uncle Jay roamed those great halls - I shudder to think what might have been (Uncle John and Uncle Bob graduated just before I started at SHS).
Love You, Aunt Di

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Uncle Jay,
I deeply appreciate your "contributions" to the new high school. I'm sure it's worth all of the "contributions" you made to make the high school what it is now. The high school has came along way since 1986 you have to be able to read before you graduate. I appreciate the new gym but, maybe you should have studied with Uncle Glenn more, but that could have led to the lonely Friday and Saturday nights. Thank you Aunt Di for being the book-keeper that made all of this possible.

-Daniel

P.S. The source of the information in the paragraph is confidential.

Uncles

Uncle John you need to get on her and blog because if you don't you want even remember what happened to you

The new SHS !!

Danielle,

Glad to hear that you like the new high school. You can thank your dad and me for that new building. It was our academic contributions to that school so many years ago that helped it get to the new "awesome" facility that you see today. Our continuous dedication to our studies and all of the academic accolades that we acheived help bring national publicity to that academic institution and has afforded the school system the ability to build such a magnificent venue. But please don't be in "awe" of us, we were merely only doing what we were called to do. There were others that had mild contributions to the success of the school, but your dad and I were the pioneers for studying hard and avoiding those popular social gatherings that do nothing but detract from becoming the best academic scholar that you can be.

Please try not to follow in our footsteps; it will be an enormous challenge and may even be impossible. But don't be discouraged if your not a potential Rhodes Scholar, there is a place in life for you as well (example : Uncle Bob).

Even those that studied all of the time (example : you know who), couldn't quite understand why your dad and I received all of the academic achievements and awards that helped to put SHS as the envy of schools from all over the world.

It is with great pride that I say "You're Welcome, Daniel-son".

P.S.
If for some reason you don't believe what you have just read, there is another possibility. You're Aunt Di is probably the reason that school is what it is today, and that is the truth!!!

Your Distinguished Uncle Jay

University of Statesboro

August the 3rd was my first day of high school, and the brand new high school is one of the nicest places I have ever been. The brand new gym is amazing and the lunch room is humongous. I had to go to the auditorium. The auditorium is just like a miniature Emma Kelly Theater.

Good Morning and How Do You Do!

Man, I have been pretty slack! None the less always know I love you all!

We have been busy since school ended. VBS, softball camp and SHS baseball. I can't believe Daniel will be starting at the high school this year. He has really enjoyed playing with the SHS baseball summer program. I have too. I guess when you are a park rat at heart the heat doesn't put a damper on the fun. The diamond is truly this girls friend! He only plays 3 more time this week and then it is over. The break will be nice and I am sure Daniel is ready for one. He is signed up for 4 pre ap classes and he (and I) are overwhelmed by the amount of summer work they expect them to do before the first day of school. Who decided that was a good idea? NOT ME!

Mikay has been off at Na's and loving every minute of it. She has been baby sitting Cooper and Alex. My sister in law, Staci, thinks Mikay is the bomb and would keep her if she could. Keep kids is one of Mikay's gifts. One of her calls was about how excited she was to have changed a dirty diaper all by herself. I reminded her how tricky little boys could be when changing diapers and had lots of places to hid pooh - so she better be real careful. She said GROSE!

Dub, of course, is still the tall, bald, and sexy man I fell in love with years ago. Working hard at a job he puts up with for his family. While skimboarding at Tybee on father's day he declined invitations to co-star in the Miley Sirus movie. He just can't help but get recognized with his water sport skills!! I am the luckiest woman in the world.

Well, love to everyone!

I hope to see you all very soon
love

Hey Everybody,
Yes Emily, Summer is here and I feel like it has not slowed down one bit. We are putting in a new computer program at school and I have worked everyday trying to get everything in for next year before they shut SASI down. It will make it a lot easier when we do switch over.

Tattnall has had Summer Ball in all sports and we have tried to go to as much as possible. We had Bible School last week at night and it was a lot of fun. Glenn and I both taught a class. Glenn had to be in Atlanta at the State BOE last Thursday morning so we went to the Braves game Wednesday night. We had a lot of fun even thought the braves lost by 1.

Mallory is doing good. Working everyday and has cheerleading at night. She has camp this Thursday, Friday and Monday. She flies in and out each day. It is hard to believe he will be 17 in two weeks.

It is even harder to believe that Justin will be twenty in about two months. He is finishing up his A part of Summer School. Doing real good with his grades. Say a prayer for him for the B part of Summer School he has Anatomy 2 and he has to pass this to became a trainer for one of the athletic programs at GSU. He comes home on Sunday and goes to church and then eats with us. I have really enjoyed spending some time with him.

BA played Tattnall yesterday in basketball. Win played very good. I was glad to see him. Didn't even know that was who Tattnall was playing till I walked into the door. I thought they were playing Claxton. Which they did later. Claxton was their usually team. (ugly)

Well that is about all that is going on in the Stewart's lives. Baseball, Basketball and work. I am ready to get together maybe we can soon.

Love ya!
BARBARA

Georgia State Amatuer

Congratulations to me!!!!! I qualified for the Georgia State Amateur yesterday. There were about 70 golfers trying to qualify for 8 spots. I beat a bunch of young college players (imagine that - an overweight, balding 41 yr old with a bad back).

I didn't mean to brag, but I had to tell someone. (I know my mama will be proud!!)

Peace out to all my homies!!

I love you Whitney!

I don't know how many of you have seen the Statesboro Magazine's most recent publication, but if you haven't please pick one up. I was fortunate enough to be the subject of Whit's article. Never in my life have I read anything that brought me to tears the way this did. I can't explain it, but that was my reaction, after reading only the first paragraph and a half. I had to put it down and finish reading it later. And if you were one of the lucky family members that got a phone call from me late Tues. night after I finally was able to finish reading - then you know this is the truth.

Whitney if you have ever questioned your ability to write in such a way that the reader "feels" what you are trying to convey - then please don't doubt yourself ever again. I have had several phone calls already complimenting your article. I was just lucky enough to be the subject. You took the information and made it what it is. I honestly don't know if I can truly express how thankful I am to you for finding my daily routine important enough to write about.

Well, I better scoot. Thank you again Whitney!

peace and love to all

Im not too smart!

After way too many attempts to load more than one picture at a time I decided to make a new post.
Here is Mikay ready for her dance recital Saturday night.

HELLOOOOOO BLOGGERVILLE!

Well, Dub is on his way back to the 'boro now and should arrive within the next hour. We are ready for him to get back. As Aunt Di says "everyone will be back in there place".
The Sands have been busy while Dub has been in Africa. Daniel and Mikay have had baseball and softball, Mikay had her first dance recital, Daniel participated in the youth triathlon at splash and Mikay donated her beautiful curls to locks of love. I am very proud of her. She has been wanting to do it for a few months, but I couldn't imagine cutting her curls. Well, we did and it looks great and for such a worthy cause.
I hope the pictures are clear and don't cause neck trouble for anyone (Jay).
Everyone have a great week and SCHOOL IS ALMOST OUT!!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOOOOO!!!

Yo Mama!

I am glad everyone was able to come over today and celebrate mother's day together. As usual a fun time was had by all, especially the youngest in the group. After everyone left I starting thinking about past get togethers and how times are changing so fast. I guess most of all US! I don't notice so much that I have changed as much as I do the kids. Having this one or that one growing older at a time is one thing. But before we know it 5 little girls will be grown. All about the same time. Way to go Jay!!! Not to mean that change is bad, just sobering at times.

Wow. That was pretty deep. Enough of that - I guess with Dub gone I have too much time to think!

Well, I hope everyone has a great week. School is almost out!!!!!!!!! WAHOO!!!!!!!!!

Next time we will make time for cards emily.

Peace out and hope always

Family Update!

Well, I thought I would take a minute and spread the word about some things you may or may not know are going on.

First of all, Saturday morning while Leslie, Brian, the boys and a friend camped out at the farm for Connor's Birthday, they received a call that Mr. Robert had been taken to the hospital with what they felt sure was a stroke.

It was! He can not feel his left side from the face down and has trouble speaking clearly. After the tests were run they determined that of the two types of stroke - he had the better. His was caused by a clot not a bleed. With this he is expected to have great recovery. This leads us to the most recent information that I have. Tomorrow - Tues. he will be moved to Savannah to begin the intensive rehad in order to achieve full recovery.

Leslie is scheduled to have some surgery on Thurs. April 30 at EGRMC. This is expected to take about 3 - 4 hours. With overnight says in the hospital - maybe 3 days. I could give more details about the actual surgery, but I would really rather leave that up to Leslie (girl stuff).

Mill Creek park has become the second home for the Sands and Fordhams once again, so if you need us look there first.

I wish everyone a safe, happy, loving and fun filled week!

Much love and always peace

WHERE ARE MIMI'S BLOGGERS????

I know all of you are busy with work and ballgames, but I miss your blogging. John have you forgotten your password again? Dub and Jay you two always have something to say - so come on and post. Let us know what's going on with you and your families. Emily, Leslie, Barbara and Lisa - BLOG. You too Mimi!!!!

All of us need to send good vibes to Whitney tomorrow - she has her interview with Southern Living Magazine so keep your fingers crossed.

Lisa's in Birmingham with Whit so she missed two of BA's baseball games - BA won both. Win played good and pitched against Frederica today. The game was called in the bottom of the 4th inning because of runs 17 to 1. BA scored 10 runs in their 1st inning. Thank you John for taking care of me during the ballgames.

Glenn and Barbara had a good friend; Bill Bonds from Swainsboro pass away Sunday. He had a long battle with cancer. They really admired the way he lived his life.

Evans County is on Spring Break this week - but Barbara has to be in a computer class from 8:30 til 4:00 each day. Mallory went to the Claxton High Jr-Sr this past weekend and had a good time. Barbara is suppose to post some pictures - hopefully she'll be standing upright instead of sideways (right Beth?). I guess Justin is studying (like Glenn) and trying to finish up this semester. I haven't seen him since Easter.

Mother is coming over tomorrow for an appointment with Pain Management at 12:00. She'll spend the night - so if you have a chance come by and see her. She had an appointment with Dr. Scott in Claxton last week and he's adjusted her thyroid medicine so hopefully she'll feel much better soon.

Thanks Lisa and John for having us all for Easter. As usual it was lots of fun being with everyone. The baby goat was cute but I'm not sure he'll be invited again. Did everyone get rid of the mites?

Whitney, "Good Luck" with your interview tomorrow. All of us here love you and know that you will do your best. Whoever employs you will be very lucky - you will be an asset to them. We love you!!!!

I love all of you Mimi bloggers

HIPPITY HOPPITY

I'm excited about seeing everyone at the "Lee's" Easter Sunday. I'll have the ham ready and you girls can bring whatever. I may be letting the cat out of the bag - But - I think there may be some "Live Entertainment" (is that right MiKay?). It may be a little cool but you may need to bring your swimsuits just in case - Aunt Beth says she will have hers. Do you think Aunt Lisa will have any creatures this Easter - maybe OR maybe not. If she does have baby chicks again, I hope she will get ones that already know how to fly - so Lauren won't have to keep throwing them up in the air to teach them. You never know with Aunt Lisa. As far as I know everyone will be there the Lee's, Sand's, Stewart's, Cook's, Rowe's, Fordham's and MIMI - can't forget Mimi. See all of you Sunday.

Love, Mama/ Aunt "Di"/G'mama

Is everyone getting together for Easter Sunday. I think Lisa said that we could go to her house again. I have gotten some eggs with goodies in them to hide. We will probably not get to Lisa's until around 1:15 because Glenn is in the Easter Program Sunday at Church.

What is everyone bringing. Let's do simply so we can all enjoy each other. What about Fried Chicken and pineapple sandwiches with different salads or something like that because it will be easy to do and easy clean up and no one (mama) will have to be in the kitchen. I will be glad to get some chicken if ya'll want or pay for some. I already owe Lisa money what is a little more. I will make some sweets and a salad to.

Let me know if ya'll want to do something different.

See you all Sunday@

My neck hurts from looking at the picture of Daniel. But I think I figured out which one he is; he's the one in the middle, right?

Be careful Sands family on your trek to the lake.

I am going to try to see Win play baseball tomorrow here in Savannah, but they might have to play with balls that float.

I will be in Statesboro on Saturday morning at a GSU Alumni Board meeting and I am probably going to go to the Blue-White game if anyone is interested (Any Fordham's out there?).

I think maybe one or two of my girls may come with me. And mom, if it is alright with you, they will stay with you on Saturday morning (10am to 12pm) while I am at the meeting.

See ya'll soon

Jay

OOPS!

Sorry - I couldn't quite figure out how to flip the picture.

have a great day!

I Vote No!

I agree with Jay!  Let's skip the annual sacrificing of poor defenseless animals this easter.  They deserve much better than what the Sand's family can offer.  And for sure more than the 6 sweet, caring and ever so gentle to the touch Rowe girls could offer.  JK!

Well, I was asked to post the picture of Daniel in his tuxedo when he served as escort to the lovely LCMS beauty pageant contestants.  His friend Madisson was the well deserved winner. Can you pick out Daniel from the photo?

We are very excited about Easter.  We will be at the lake from Friday to Monday then back where we belong (Aunt Di).  Unless I am told exactly what to bring - I will come up with something I know everyone will enjoy.

Love and hugs to everyone.

Hello Peoples,

I really don't have much to say, I just wanted to be the 300th person to blog. Do I get some kind of prize????

Hello!!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but it has been pretty busy and crazy around the Lee house (as usual!)

Whitney was home this weekend and we randomly ran into Beth, Dub & Mikay (at Threads) and Emily & Bob (at Christopher's). We also stopped by to see Mama. She hopes to hear something about her internship in Birmingham in the next couple of weeks. She is not getting her hopes up too much but I know she will find something. If anyone hears of a job - she'd like to go to Charleston, Savannah, Augusta or Jacksonville!!

Win has three games this week on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Friday is in Savannah - the others are home. He has gotten over the disappointment of not finishing out his no hitter!!! Maybe he can go the full 7 innings next time!! We had our Winter Sports Banquet last week and Win got the "Most Improved" award. Coach Dennard was very complimentary of him and said some really nice things (I know that is hard to believe for those of you who know Coach D!)

We are going to Fripp for Spring Break but will be back on Saturday so everyone plan on coming to our house for Easter. I facebooked Jay that I haven't decided if we're getting ... chicks ... ducks ... bunnies ... or ... kittens yet. If you have a preference, please let me know asap so I can plan accordingly!!!

Lisa

GUESS WHO ARRIVED?!

Today at about 5:30 Greg and Staci and Cooper welcomed Alex Christopher Williams in to the world.  She had a planned C-Section, however not scheduled for today everything went well.  They are keeping him in the baby icu over night to watch his breathing.  He seems to be breathing pretty fast so they just want to keep an eye on him.

I'm sure he will be with his mom soon.

I hope everyone is doing okay.  I saw where Mikay had blogged to let you know about her games. She plays again on Wed. at 5:30 at mill creek on field #10.  We will take a break next week for spring break so I will let everyone know about the schedule after that.  We saw Neal play on Sat and boy did he look great!!  He's a natural.

Daniel was an escort at the Miss LCMS pageant Sat. and was quite handsome.  His friend Madisson won the competition.

Well, so long for now.  Keep it real and happy!

peace, love and hope
